Welcome to Africa Oral Health Network

The AFRONE is the Africa Oral Health Network. It was established by researchers from three African countries: Prof Maha El Tantawi from Egypt, Prof. Morẹ́nikẹ́ Oluwátóyìn Foláyan from Nigeria, and Prof Ahmed Bhayat from South Africa. The network was launched during the Africa Health ExCon (https://africahealthexcon.com/) conference which was held in Cairo in June 2022.

AFRONE’s Mission

AFRONE's mission is to establish a community of researchers in Africa dedicated to producing research-based insights that can guide the development of oral health policies and initiatives across the continent.

AFRONE’s Vision

AFRONE's vision is to enhance the health and overall wellness of individuals in Africa by advocating for their oral health using the One Health framework in recognition of the interdependence of people, animals, and plants.

AFRONE’s Goal

AFRONE's goal is to promote cooperative, cross-sectoral, and interdisciplinary research and networking among both early and senior career researchers to stimulate the development of the field of oral health in Africa.
