MEntoring and NEtworking for Oral Health Research in Africa (MENE-OHRA)
The AFRONE received the IADR Regional Development Fund in 2023 for networking and a capacity-building project “MEntoring and NEtworking for Oral Health Research in Africa (MENE-OHRA)”. The project aligns with the AFRONE mission of bringing together oral health researchers in African countries to generate evidence for oral health decision-making.
Through the project, the AFRONE will:
- Create an open database of oral health researchers in African countries.
- Identify research priorities on oral health in Africa.
- Establishment of three IADR sections/divisions in African countries.
- Establish the AFRONE mentorship program to support the projects of 5 early career researchers.
- Support one early career researcher to present at an IADR meeting.
The project duration is two years.
